The design respects the style of the original 1980’s timber -frame home with some changes.  For example, the clients do not like looking through the heavy (not to code) deck railings, so we used glass panels on the addition.

New Pella Energy Star windows replace old leaky ones throughout the house.

This project extended a gable dormer  in a little used, dark office to create a master suite with commanding views of  dramatic mountain peaks to the east.  The tiny powder room was expanded to accommodate a shower,  soaking tub, vanity and toilet and was given a new shed roof, high window and skylight.  On the first floor, a garage bay was converted to laundry, powder room and  garbage/recycling storage room.  The old basement laundry room with 14 foot ceiling was converted to a low-ceiling mechanical room with  ground floor hallway above connecting the front of the house to the back.
